The local beach stretches for 14km and is very suitable for young children as the Fleche del Rompido protects the beach from the high winds and rough currents of the Atlantic ocean. The beach is backed by juniper woods, sand dunes and cycle tracks .

There are plenty of sporting activities on the beach such as surfing, water ski-ing, snorkeling, kiting and sailing. If you fancy some fishing, deep-sea is on offer or perhaps you are content to watch the local fishermen casting their rods on the beach. Boats can be hired daily or you can take a short boat trip across to the Fleche del Rompido. A few chiringuitos are scattered up and down the beach where you can sit for lunch, have a snack or drink. However with all these activities on offer there are plenty of quiet spots to sun bathe as the beach is never crowded.
